Elzara Yusufova

Multidisciplinary Artist

Elzara Yusufova is a contemporary impressionist artist based in St. Louis. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning (2019) from Vernadsky Taurida National University, Ukraine, and completed a three-year impressionist atelier training program in 2021. Her architectural background and plein air studies inform her sense of structure, atmosphere, and visual rhythm.

Her work draws from nature, architecture, and cultural heritage, using bold colors and textured brushstrokes to create expressive, atmospheric paintings. Through recurring imagery—abandoned houses, blooming trees, and quiet old streets—she reflects on themes of memory, displacement, and resilience. Her paintings explore the emotional complexity of places shaped by personal and collective transformation.

After living and working in Istanbul, Elzara relocated to St. Louis in 2023. Alongside her studio practice, she leads Youth Art School in Clayton’s DeMun neighborhood, teaching children and adults and fostering a creative community.
